Q. I am erasing laptops and I want to use Secure Erase to erase the drives. Can your product remove the BIOS Freeze lock on the drive and Secure Erase it?

A. Yes. Our PXE Boot Software automatically detects if you are in AHCI mode and prompts you to reboot if you aren’t. Once you switch to AHCI mode in the BIOS, our custom AHCI driver removes the BIOS Freeze lock and allows XErase to Secure Erase the drive(s).
