Q. I have drives that came out of set top boxes and they only spin up in your Octane Erasure Appliance. How do I make them usable in Windows on other systems?

A. In XErase, navigate to Customize->Interface->Program Settings and select Disable PUIS. Turn that feature on and hit update. Once you hit the rescan button XErase will automatically disable PUIS on all drives it discovers. Should you need it turned back on (reselling to a set top box manufacturer, etc.) you and do that in the Post Erasure Events, Enable PUIS.
