Q.  I see twice as many drives as there are physically connected.  Why?

A.  Review the serial numbers of the drives; very likely, there will be duplicates.  The most common cause for this is that the arrays you are connect to are multi-pathed.  Check the cabling and ensure there is only 1 cable connected between each adapter’s port and the drives/(daisy chained) enclosure(s).
