Virtual Erasure Services

In addition to on-site erasure services, we also provide virtual data erasure services using our Enterprise Data Erasure software, XErase. Virtual services are ideal for those who do not, or cannot have a technician come on-site, but require secure data destruction. With ability to carry out erasure services on all forms of data storage including virtual LUNs, frames, servers, laptops and hard drives, our custom software allows us to make sure that every job gets done right. Our ability to do so ensures your company’s industry reputation, retention of consumer confidence and most importantly prevents confidential information from falling into the wrong hands.

The Process

The virtual data erasure process begins with an Enterprise Storage Expert (ESE), remotely logging into a secure remote access terminal (with access to the desired date storage). Once logged on, our ESE will download & install the erasure software and carry out the desired level of erasure service. Once the erasure is complete, the ESE will produce a Certificate of Erasure. The Certificate of Erasure lists each of the erased serial numbers (if available), the method of erasure and a pass/fail to let you know whether or not the drives were erased and verified in accordance with the state, government and industry regulatory standards.

Audit Preparation

In addition to the Certificate of Erasure, our ESE’s can also provide (upon request) raw data in XLS, XML or CSV format for use in your data base. This extra step can help you integrate the erasure data into your asset database, aid in your preparation for a security audit and shows proof of erasure.
